Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) 4.6 Overview
For Lean Enterprises, SAFe is a knowledge base of proven, integrated principles, practices, and competencies for Lean, Agile, and DevOps.
We’ll discuss the five SAFe Core Competencies:
- Lean-Agile Leadership
- Team and Technical Agility
- DevOps and Release on Demand
- Business Solutions and Lean Systems Engineering
- Lean Portfolio Management
We’ll also discuss the nine SAFe Principles:
- Take an economic view
- Apply systems thinking
- Assume variability; preserve options
- Build incrementally with fast, integrated learning cycles
- Base milestones on objective evaluation of working systems
- Visualize and limit WIP, reduce batch sizes, and manage queue lengths
- Apply cadence, synchronize with cross-domain planning
- Unlock the intrinsic motivation of knowledge workers
- Decentralize decision-making
All levels of experience are invited to learn and to contribute to the discussion.
Admission is free to IIBA Dallas Chapter members ($30 per year to join). Non-members will be asked to pay $10 at the door.
